Help to Buy
Choose your new home
Choose your new Yorvik Home. To ensure your chosen plot fits your requirements and financial circumstance, you'll need to see an Independent Financial Advisor to review your finances and confirm your ability to afford the property in question.
Submit your Help to Buy application
If you're able to afford your new home you'll move on submitting your Help to Buy application. If you're successful you'll receive an Authority to Proceed document and you can continue with a full mortgage application.
Here, the agreement between you, the buyer, and us, the seller, becomes official. As well as sending your deposit to the us, your solicitor will also transfer the deeds for your home into your name. With a Help to Buy scheme, contracts must be exchanged within three months of submitting your Help to Buy application. And, depending on the build stage of your new Yorvik Home, we'll give you an anticipated completion date.
Complete the sale
On the day your Yorvik Home is complete, your solicitor will transfer the remaining funds to us an the home will legally be in your ownership. Your solicitor will also confirm the completion of the sale with your local Help to Buy and a second charge will be registered on your new home. This entitles the Homes and Communities Agency to a share of the proceeds of the future sale of the house or the value after 25 years (whichever comes sooner).
Moving in day
Once all of these steps are complete, you'll receive the keys to your new high quality, high spec Yorvik Home and you can start moving in!
