With the Government backed Help to Buy Initiative, we could help you buy your first home or get you on the next step of the property ladder, with just a 5% deposit.

The current Help to Buy scheme is available until March 2021 and at Yorvik Homes we are proud to say we can offer this scheme across all our developments.

Please note however that as of the 1st April 2021 the scheme eligibility criteria will be changing and will become restricted for use by First Time Buyers only, details of which can be found by visiting: www.helptobuy.gov.uk

WHO IS ELIGIBLE?

Help to Buy is currently available for First time buyers & Existing Homeowners alike, who are looking to take the next step on the property ladder. But there are a few important conditions:

  • The home you buy must be your only residence.
  • The scheme isn’t available to those who will own any other property after legal completion.
  • The scheme isn’t available for buy-to-let investors.

HOW IT WORKS

With Help to Buy, you could buy a brand-new Yorvik home sooner than you think.

  • You only need a 5% deposit.
  • The Government lends you up to 20% of the value of the property.
  • The loan is interest-free for 5 years, making your dream home more affordable.
  • You then need to secure a 75% mortgage.

Help to Buy Process

SELECT YOUR NEW HOME

Visit your development of choice and speak with one of our experienced Sales Consultants, who will guide you through what homes are available to purchase utilising the scheme.

APPLYING FOR THE SCHEME

We will arrange for you to speak a member of our trusted panel of nominated Financial Advisors, who will be able to help you with regards to making an informed decision on the relevant finance options available to assist you with the purchase of your new home under the scheme criteria. They will also compete the Help to Buy application form on your behalf.

RESERVING YOUR NEW HOME

Once your application is approved, our Sales Consultant will take you through the process of reserving your new home, completing all necessary paperwork and you will be asked to pay a Reservation Fee. This fee secures your home, removing it for sale from the open market for a period of 42 days, by the end of which you will be expected to be able to Exchange Contracts.

LEGAL COMPLETION & MOVING IN

Once your new home is nearing build completion, you will be invited to visit the development for a Home Tour and Demonstration and at this point we will be able to provide you with a guaranteed date for your move. With your dedicated Sales Consultant then calling you on the day to advise that you are now able collect your keys.
